BARDIGLIO: a precious grey coloured marble, with dark gray and white cloud-like patterns on a darker bluish background. There are two different types: the imperial and the classic. This marble is extracted from the quarries of Carrara. It is finished and usually used for flooring and cladding. Outdoors it is greatly employed to floor public squares and sidewalks, while indoors it is the ideal in bathrooms, kitchens and for windowsills. The surface can be finished in several ways: polished, burnished, sanded and antiqued.
